GCSC holds ‘Super Saturday’ for new and returning students

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Registration has begun for the summer and fall semesters at Gulf Coast State College and faculty were on hand today to help new and returning students.

It’s called ‘Super Saturday’ and it’s designed to ease students into college and help them with enrollment and registration services.

Counselors helped students navigate their majors, class schedules and more.

Financial aid and veteran’s services also were available to help students apply for assistance paying for school with scholarships or their G.I. Bill.

Organizers say the event is a hit with students.

“Students have been very open to it. We’ve had all kinds of students coming in, all different interests and we just love to come down and help the students on a Saturday and come and get what they need all in the same building,” said Merissa Hudson, the associate director for enrollment services.

If you are interested in enrolling at Gulf Coast State College, don’t fret you still have time.

Just stop by the enrollment office for more details.
