Fugitive on the Run: James Dexter Jackson

Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. - A fugitive on the run. The Walton County Sheriffs Office is asking for your help in finding him.

James Dexter Jackson, 32-years-old, is on the run and trying to hid from the authorities.

"He's got charges on Bay County and in Walton. Bay county has him on failure to appear on original charges of burglary, grand theft auto. Similar to what we have. Which I grand theft and burglary," said Corey Dobridnia, Walton County Sheriff's Public Information Officer.

Authorities have been looking for Jackson since the beginning of June and they say he might be in the Fort Walton Beach area.

"He has ties to bay. He has ties to Walton. So we are just trying to make sure that we get it out to our community and get him back behind bars," said Dobridnia.

Jackson is a white male with dark hair, and dark features. He is 5'6 and about 160 pounds. Authorities say, there is a possibility he could be armed and dangerous.

"If you are willing to run from the police, you are a danger. You're a danger to yourself and a danger to others This is not the kind of person you want to be hanging around," warned Dobridnia.
