PANAMA CITY, Fla. – It was superhero day at Bacot Academy, a private school for autistic students.

As part of the school’s spirit week local heroes from the police department, the fire department, and the American Legion came in for a visit to talk about how they help save residents’ lives.

The kids also got a chance to ride in a fire truck and a police vehicle.

“And today is actually superhero day and so we wanted to show our kids that there other types of superheroes. We wanted to let them know that also the policemen and the firemen and our military are real-life superheroes,” said Cindy Bacot, executive director.

Bacot Academy’s spirit week will continue on through April 19th.
