BLOUNTSTOWN, Fla. - Fire completely destroyed a home on John G Bryant Road in Blountstown, early Monday morning.
Officials said a neighbor called the fire in around 1:15 AM.
When the firetrucks arrived the house was already fully engulfed.
Volunteers with the Nettle Ridge Volunteer Fire department said they used close to 15,000 gallons of water to put the fire out.
Officials said no one was home at the time of the fire.
Along with the Nettle Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, West Side Volunteer Fire Department and the Blountstown Fire Department were on scene for back up.
"We all are one team in calhoun county. We help each other," said Troy Bishop, Nettle Ridge Volunteer Fire Department Captain. "If Kinard needs us we roll down there and help Kinard or if Blountstown needs us or mossy pond."
The States Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the exact cause of the fire.
