LYNN HAVEN, Fla. – The US Attorney’s Office is seeking answers from the City of Lynn Haven about two companies and the town’s former city manager.
News 13 obtaining new documents Monday night confirming that the federal prosecutors are presenting this information before a grand jury.
The agency ordered the city’s records clerk to testify and to turn over any and all paperwork regarding two companies, Erosion Control Specialists and Greenleaf Lawn Care.
The agency confirmed on Friday that they participated in law enforcement activity, which to some looked like a raid, at Erosion Control Specialists.
The agency is also seeking information about former City Manager Mike White. Prosecutors ordered the city to turn over White’s personnel file, contracts, agreements emails, text messages, credit card statements, and other items.
White has been a source of controversy since he was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at his wife during an argument. While the criminal portion of that case has not yet been resolved White was allowed to resign his position with a severance package.
News 13 spoke with Erosion Control Specialists and Greenleaf and they declined to comment on the matter. We have also placed a call to White’s attorney seeking comment.
We reached Mayor Margo Anderson tonight who said she is aware of the situation and plans to comment in the near future.
