FDOT receiving FEMA reimbursement for Jackson County debris removal


Friday, Governor Ron DeSantis, announced that President Trump will reimburse Florida Department of Transportation for debris clean up in Jackson County.

The President has committed to federally fund 100 percent of the first 45 days of Hurricane Michael recovery.

FDOT will receive 9.8-million dollars from FEMA to reimburse the cost of debris cleanup in Jackson County.

This is the first FDOT project reimbursed under the expedited FEMA reimbursement process.

Governor DeSantis’ office said this being the first step to getting funding flowing into Northwest Florida to help with the recovery process.
