WALTON COUNTY, Fla. - A Wednesday afternoon collision leaves one person dead and two people in critical condition.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol 38 year old Joni Pridgen from Santa Rosa Beach was driving a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire on Interstate 10 when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a mile marker on the side of the road.
The vehicle then continued on the grass shoulder until crashing into a tree. Pridgen was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. Passengers 30-year-old Jessica Helm and 12-year-old Seath Helm were taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
Investigation of this accident is still pending.
