Drug Bust Yields Nearly $500,000 in Cocaine, Meth

Panama City Police Investigators executed a search warrant at a home on September 16th that led to the seizure of 173 grams of cocaine, 14.3 grams of methamphetamine, and 4115.3 grams of methamphetamine oil, according to arrest reports.

Police arrested and charged Willie Wesley Pennywell, 44, of Panama City with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Cocaine, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Manufacturing Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Nuisance Drug House, and Felon in Possession of Ammunition.

Officers wrote the Street Crimes Unit located cocaine, meth, digital scales and $3,769 in cash in Pennywell’s bedroom and a glass tray containing crystallized meth in his bathroom.

Once arrested, Pennywell allegedly told investigators he used the tray to dry his meth.

Police added they also searched a storage shed in the backyard where they found a bucket containing the meth oil as well as acetone and coffee filters which Pennywell was allegedly using to convert the oil into crystallized meth.

In total, investigators said a street value of $17,300 in cocaine and $411,160 in methamphetamine was seized.

Pennywell was booked into the Bay County Jail to await First Appearance.
