In Jackson County, more gifts and donations are being shared with the school board.
Tuesday, students and faculty from Slocomb, Al raised roughly $5,000 to buy supplies, toys and more for Jackson County students.
The Slocomb Elementary junior beta club sold t-shirts to raise the money.
Once the supplies were bought, they delivered them and a three thousand dollar check to the Jackson County School Board.
Superintendent Larry Moore said he’s so grateful for all that everyone has done for the students of Jackson County.
“It just confirms that there are still wonderful people in this country and we are blessed to have them help us through this recovery effort,” Moore said.
The Jackson County School Board also received a donation from the Focus Group, a program that the school system uses for a grade portal.
