With so many candidates running for Panama City mayor, Doc Rohan continued campaigning in an effort to stand out from the crowd.
He says he wants to encourage residential development in downtown Panama City and for the city to hire an urban planner to assess the needs of the city as it rebuilds from Hurricane Michael.
Rohan would like to tear down and completely rebuild the Panama City Marina Civic Center to make it larger and also says the city’s sewer and water systems also need to be addressed
“As a conservative Republican, I would be more fiscally responsible for our money. So, I would keep an eye on our money. I would spend the money like it was my own money and that is something that hasn’t been done down here,“ said Doc Rohan.
Rohan wants to implement a long term plan for Panama City and feels current leadership has been directionless. “What makes me qualified to be mayor is that I can see what our present government and what our present city officials are doing. They’re wasting our money, they don’t have a common sense approach. We have been under Democrat rule in Panama City for 40 years. We’ve had 40 years of Democrat mayors, we need to give the Republicans a chance. We can do much better,“ said Rohan.
The election will be held on April 16, but early voting will be open from April 8th through the 12th.
