PANAMA CITY, Fla. - A new program at the Department of Health in Bay County will help you get fresh fruits and vegetables on your own time.
Monday morning marked the first day for the Department of Health's WIC program Farmer's market. WIC stands for women, infants and children and helps healthy foods, nutrition education, and other amenities to individuals.
As part of their launch, a Farmer's Market will be open daily outside the Department of Health on 11th Street in Panama City.
Local farmer's say this will help people get easier access to farm fresh food.
The market is open to all. It will be held in the front parking lot from 9:30-11:30 Monday through Thursday.
