BAY COUNTY, Fla. -
Bay County Commissioners approved a rebate deal with another project coming to the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, called 'Project SoHo.'
Officials from the Economic Development Alliance (EDA) announced that the international aviation company is bringing a facility to the ECP airport, and will bring in an anticipated $25 million, and more than 100 high paying jobs to the county.
County Commissioner, Griff Griffitts explained that if the project meets these promises, the County will provide them with $105,000 under the state's Qualified Target Industry Refund Program.
"It provides about 100 jobs, and it's a performance based incentive, so if they hit the job numbers then they get the tax rebates," Griffitts said.
Commissioners also approved to give this incentive to another company coming to Bay County, called Project Gorrie, which promises 50 high paying jobs.
