FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. - Crews from the city of Tallahassee are providing much needed help to the people of Eastpoint.
Tallahassee's underground utilities and public infrastructure crew left Monday morning with equipment like dump trucks, excavators, and other supplies.
Their goal is to clean up debris from the 36 homes destroyed by the lime rock wildfire, 2 weeks ago.
"We've loaded mobile homes to vehicles... this lot had about six vehicles on it, mobile home frames and a couple boat trailers that we've loaded and hauled off. This is a lot of debris we've hauled off I don't know how many trips... we've probably possibly made 15 to 20 now and rest of the week well be working here," said Shane Vausc.
Tallahassee crews will be in Eastpoint helping all week long.
