Christmas came early for veterans at the Clifford Chester Sims veterans home Sunday.

In past years, the deacon at lighthouse baptist church spent Sunday mornings at church with the veterans.

Sunday marked the second year of a new Christmas party tradition.
The deacon handed veterans special bibles while residents sang along to classic Christmas songs.

“We raise money year round to supply veterans with good quality bibles that they can hand down to their kids and grandkids as an heirloom,” Bryan Dawson Lighthouse Baptist Church’s deacon, said.

If you’d like to donate to the cause, you can contact Bryan Dawson by calling the church.
