Chef Celebrates 50th Mothers Day at Captain Andersons

Captain Anderson’s is getting ready for Mothers Day, but for one employee, this years Mothers Day is a landmark achievement.

Alonzo Keys join the Captain Anderson’s restaurant when it opened in 1968 making this his 50th Mother’s Day.

Alonzo is an important member of the Captain Anderson’s staff bringing experience, quality, and leadership to the kitchen.
  
On the menu for Mothers Day is their traditional turkey and dressing.

Keys says its the satisfaction of customers that makes the job worth while. 

“When you walk out from the kitchen to the dining room, all these mothers eating with the big hats on their heads, it makes me feel good,” said Keys. “Matter of fact, it makes me wish my mother was still here.”

Doors open at Captain Anderson’s Restaurant Sunday morning at 11 a.m.
