Car crashes into local bar, pinning customer

News

PARKER, Fla.– Saturday afternoon, Parker Police and Firefighters responded to Shark’s sports bar after a car crashed into the building and pinned a customer.

Officials said the driver of a Gray Ford Explorer was leaving the bar when he drove forward and hit the front of the building, then reversed and hit the building across the street and another car, and then finally forward again through the entrance of Shark’s.

The person pinned suffered no injuries. The co-owner of the restaurant said this is a huge setback after finally re-opening after Hurricane Michael.

“It’s just surprising to all of us and unfortunate because we’re going to have to shut the bar down. We just went through a big, big situation with the hurricane damage, and we’ve just recently repaired everything and got running, up and running pretty good and now this and now we’re going to be shut down until we can figure all this out,” said Troy Peck, Shark’s co-owner.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
