Friday night people in Panama City Beach tasted wine and checked out some art all for a great cause. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida held their annual event, “Corks and Canvases.” The organization helps hundreds of kids each year through mentorship programs.
Right now there are about 51 kids on the waiting list for mentors so the organization is always looking for more. Money from a silent auction, wine tasting, and art will go to the organization to benefit their mentor services.

“The community is so gracious over here. Our service area is the five counties here in the Panhandle of Florida and it has just been just a blessing to have the support that the community gives to Big Brothers Big Sisters and the recognition to the need and all we’re trying to do, is spread the word even further,” said CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Paula Shell.

They are always looking for the next great mentor.
Here in Northwest Florida, there is a need for more male mentors.
