After a successful supply drive, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office trailer full of relief items for those impacted by Hurricane Irma is headed to South Florida.
The trailer left at 2:00 Tuesday afternoon and is headed to Collier County. The city of Naples, which is in Collier County, was hit particularly hard by the storm. The Sheriff’s Office in Collier reached out to BCSO and the decision on where the goods would go was clear. The truck was so full that they couldn’t fit everything in this trip.
“So we’re looking for a good place to send it and we have and eye on one right now that will be conducting a drive tomorrow so I think they are going to get all these goods and they will go to help victims of Hurricane Irma, I can assure everyone,” said BCSO Spokesperson, Ruth Corley.
The truck full of supplies is expected to reach Collier County late Tuesday night.
