According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a burglary complaint at a residence on North Lagoon Drive, Panama City Beach on April 17 th, 2016.
According to a media release, the victim stated that someone had entered her home and taken cash and jewelry. When investigators began checking security camera footage, they discovered the victim’s car had been burglarized the night before on April 16 th. Video footage was obtained of the suspect entering the vehicle.
The victim told deputies since the suspect had taken a large jar of coins, she suspected he may have gone to a coin machine at a nearby grocery store to have the value of the coins determined and to get cash for them.
A review of security video at the grocery store revealed a man matching the appearance of the suspect had entered a grocery store just minutes after the burglary to the victim’s residence. Images of this man entering the store were released Monday.
The suspect is described as an older white male with stocky build and wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt, green shorts, and white tennis shoes.
