BCSO Offers Donations To Help Community

Ever since Hurricane Michael the outpour of support from the community has been overwhelming and the sheriff’s office passed on that support.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office has received tons of generous donations of many different essentials from all over the area.

But that wasn’t all, they offered all of the excess items to the community, encouraging them to take whatever they need.

Officials with the sheriff’s office said they were grateful to be in a position where they’re able to give away supplies and offer support.

“Its made us feel very good to know that we have the support of our brothers and sisters in green, and even firefighters, other first responders from across the state have sent us so much stuff. So now it’s time after we’ve been very well stocked, we’re going to give back to the community and it’s been great to see so many people come,” said Ruth Corley, Bay County Sheriff’s Office PIO.

The donation giveaway started at 10 in the morning, and was held in the sheriff’s office parking lot.
