Two very popular businesses are back up and running in Bay county.
We are keeping an eye on local businesses as they re-open.
In this weeks Open For Biz. Sponsored by GED Lawyers. News 13′s Chris Marchand focuses on two of his favorite topics. Golf and pizza.
After the storm many businesses struggled to re-open simply because of the devastation their business received.
Golf courses in the area were some of the hardest hit, due to the fact they are lined with trees that had now become hazards.
The Nicklaus Course at Bay Point was one those courses, but now the course is back open for play.
The par 72 championship course is one of the best maintained courses in the area.
Bay Point Golf Club General Manager Ryan Mulvey, said it took a long time to get the course back to where it was before the storm, but his team went above and beyond their normal duties to get the course back up and ready for play.
Ryan said, “It’s been so awesome as our guys have done such a good job it’s been so well received and we can open the feedback has been absolutely phenomenal couldn’t be more proud of our team out there they really put a lot of hours in and stuff that are not used to doing it out there now they are excited to be back up”.

Once you come off the course and are hungry, head across the bridge to New York Style Pizza located near best buy.
New York Style Pizza re-opened a couple months ago but was only taking cash for a long time due to damage suffered by the storm.
Now they are back accepting cash and are back with a full menu.
