Panama City, FL - Bay County Animal Control got some new wheels to help them showcase and transport their adoptable pets.
The vehicle might be old but that doesn't matter to the furry friends it will be transporting to adoption events. The vehicle can carry between 8 and 15 animals, depending on the size. The new wheels do not require a CDL license to drive so there will be more opportunity to get animals out into the public and to adoption events. We spoke with the animal control division manager Kathy Beatson about the importance of having these vehicles at their disposal.
Bay County Animal Control Division Manager, Kathy Beatson told News 13 "By having that first trolly we realized how important it was to get animals out and to get animal control out in the community and meet with people so they know about what we do, they know about the animals that we do have available, and that there is choices here that they can utilize as well as some of the other facilities."
There are currently no events planned for the animal transport, but Kathy control told news 13 that once they're up and running to attend events they will let us tag along to see all the animals find their forever home.
