The Supervisor of Elections Office is gearing up for the 2018 election cycle in Bay County with a training session Monday.
Mark Andersen, Supervisor of Elections for Bay County hosted a training session for Precinct Election Officials, or those working the polls this election day.
More than 300 people attended the training, but more than 500 are needed to run the polling locations.
At the training session, Andersen said they learned about how to get along with others for a smooth voting process.
“Even just a group of 10 people that are all working together on Election Day for the first time, you may not have ever met them, or worked with them before so we learned how to cooperate and work through the process of meeting the voters’ needs,” he said.
The Precinct Election Officials are paid positions, if you are interested in working election day, you can find out more here.
