As the tourist season winds down in Panama City Beach and businesses close for the winter, a local restaurant opens it’s doors one last time every year to raise money for autism.
More than 300 people filled Angelo’s Steak Pit Sunday night for the benefit.
The George A. Butchikas Foundation For Autism holds the dinner, silent and live auctions, and prize wheel.
The goal was to raise $70,000 dollars.
“We’re blessed you know. Bay County is blessed to have people that like to give back to the community. This is just one event of many you know that you’ll see packed, but this helps your neighbor so all the money stays here locally and never leaves Bay County so that’s probably why we do so so much,” Angelo’s Owner George Butchikas said.
Sunday’s event marked the 20th year for the fundraiser.
