FOUNTAIN, Fla.– An explosion in a Fountain neighborhood sent six people to the hospital, three of those people were life-flighted in critical condition.
It happened shortly after 11 Sunday morning at a home near Hurst Road.
Multiple agencies responded to the explosion. Officials said the blast happened when the homeowner turned on the stove to make breakfast.
The stove exploded and injured all six people inside the home. The 3 who were severely injured in the blast were taken by helicopter to nearby trauma hospitals. The other 3 injured in the explosion were taken to Bay Medical center for treatment, no word on the extent of their injuries.
The home is a total loss and the fire is under investigation at this time.
