1 person killed, 5 injured in accident involving low-speed vehicle

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla.– One person is dead and 5 others are injured after a crash early Sunday morning on Baker Creek road. 

It happened shortly before 1 a.m. 

Florida Highway Patrol deputies said all 6 people were in a low-speed vehicle, driving through a field when it hit an embankment and overturned. 

35-year-old Greg Landry of Archer, Florida was ejected from the vehicle and transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

Reports said alcohol was a factor in the crash and the incident is under investigation.
