PANAMA CITY, Fla. — The St. Joe Company broke ground on two new buildings at the Cedar Grove Commerce Park. Once complete, the buildings will offer almost 20,000 square feet of rentable space.
Each building can be subdivided into as many as five tenant spaces. The space will have 14-foot overhead doors and ceiling heights of 20 feet so space can accommodate a variety of businesses.
St. Joe sped up the process of this location to help local businesses after Hurricane Michael.
“We decided to accelerate this project and move it up in our pipeline and break ground now, to create more space,” said Corporate Director of Marketing Mike Kerrigan. “To make it possible for businesses that are looking for space to have a place to operate and generate some income and employ people in Bay County.”
The Bay EDA President Becca Hardin says they should have no problem filling these spaces.
“It will be our challenge to fill these spec buildings, but we don’t think that is going to be a problem at all because there is a great need for existing facilities,” said Hardin.
The buildings are projected to be completed by December 2019.
