Lynn Haven Residents Help Clean up City

BAY COUNTY, Fla. - Residents of Lynn Haven are pitching in and hoping to make their town beautiful again as soon as possible.

As a part of their 'One Street at a Time' initiative, volunteers spent Saturday morning cleaning up Pennsylvania avenue from 3rd Street all the way to 17th Street.

Mayor Margo Anderson was there to help clean things up and says this is just one way the community is coming together. "We're also really happy about the fact that just the people who live here, who don't make the news, who don't complain, who just try their hardest to help their fellow citizens and most the people helping don't live on this street but they're helping the ditches of their neighbors because they know that eventually their neighbors are going to come to their street."

She says they will be having a clean up event at least once a month and the next date will be posted on the city's Facebook page, here.
