Tess Rowland joins the WMBB News 13 Team from South Florida.
She is a recent graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans with a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Theatre Arts. She began her career in broadcast journalism as a news assistant on the Investigate Team at WVUE- FOX 8.
Tess believes that the power of a news organization should be used to make a positive impact on individuals and benefit the local community.
One of her biggest stories on the investigate team included exposing sham charities that collected millions of dollars and deceived donors about where their donation money went.
While Tess loves meeting and talking to new people daily, she also feels a crucial part of her job is being a great listener. She wants to get to know YOU, and the issues important to the Emerald Coast.
When she’s not working or consuming news, you can find her shopping, trying out new restaurants, or jogging on the beach.
Tess is thrilled to have the opportunity to be telling your stories and would love to talk if you have something to share. Send her an email at trowland@wmbb.com
Also be sure to connect with her on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook!
