Miabelle Salzano joined News 13 in April of 2020 as a digital producer and multimedia journalist.
She graduated from American University in 2020 with a M.A. in journalism and digital storytelling, and from St. Lawrence University in 2017 with a dual B.A. in English and film.
While in school, she interned for international market magazines covering real estate and architecture, including Mansion Global and Architect. She also worked on a documentary film for PBS.
She moved to the Panhandle with her fiancé, a pilot with the Marine Corps, and their cat, Arwen, and is excited to be able to tell the stories of her new community.
She now covers the Destin/South Walton area, Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field.
