Week one of the USFA World Series is underway.
This week features the 14, 16, and 18 age group.
Pool play lasts until Wednesday, with bracket play beginning Wednesday.
Games are bring played at Frank Brown Park, Harders Park, Oakland Terrace, and Callaway Recreational Complex.
There are 135 teams participating in week one from all over the United States.
Week two (ages 8-12) will begin this Sunday.
"The kids like the beach," Coach Chad Kellogg of Team Rampage from Louisiana says," We come here as a team. It's a team bonding deal, and it's real good for us as a family. We're a team, but we're a family, too."
"It's great. Just to meet different people from different states and to play against different competition," Coach Jamie Pettis of Panama City's North Florida Legacy adds, "We play so many different teams that are in our local area so much, it's just a great experience to play teams from other states."
