LYNN HAVEN, Fla. - Last Friday's Game of the Week between arch rivals Mosley and Arnold lived up to the hype, with the Dolphins claiming bragging rights for the next year.
After losing the previous two years, Mosley got the monkey off their back, claiming a 13-0 win over the Marlins.
It was a struggle all the way through. The game was scoreless at halftime and most of the way through the third quarter, but Mosley was able to get a few late scores despite having to use three quarterbacks on the day.
The defenses on both sides were phenomenal. Mosley’s D got the shut out with their seven sacks, but Arnold also almost completely shut down the Dolphins’ passing game.
What this win means for Mosley is they are one win over Bay High away from reclaiming the county title – that game will take place in three weeks on October 27th.
Mosley Head Coach Jeremy Brown is very proud of the way his kids played.
"I thought we took it to them physically. I thought we physically wore them down with our game-plan and numbers,” Coach Brown says, “The kids executed. We played well, and any time you win a district game, and this happened to be a county game, it felt really good, I'll be honest with you."
