The Hope School basketball team just took home the 2016 Special Olympics State Championship Trophy, and this trophy wasn’t their first.

It was their 5th state title within the past 7 years, and their head coach says you’ve gotta want it to win it.

"You got to want it, and one thing about the kids here they want it,” Coach Don Holland says, “They want it more than I do, and when the kids want it more than the coaches... that’s success."

It was evident that the Falcons wanted it, as they took the Pasco Sharks to triple overtime and came out on top.

Not only did the team bring back the giant trophy, but they also brought back a sense of pride to all of the hope school community, and more importantly a stronger family bond that you cant get anywhere else.
