Chipola Wins JUCO World Series

GRAND JUNCTION, Co. - With a 15-6 win over San Jacinto Saturday night, the Chipola Indians have won the 2017 JUCO Baseball World Series!

The Indians lost early in the tournament to the same San Jac team, but went on to win five consecutive elimination games, including two over the Gators, to claim the national title.

The bats were hot in Grand Junction – Chipola had double digit runs in five of their seven games played.

This is their first title since 2007, second under Head Coach Jeff Johnson.

The Indians end the season with a record of 51-9.

Congratulations to the Indians for bringing the hardware back to Jackson County!
