GRACEVILLE, Fla. - We're now over half way through our 21 Teams in 21 Days.
Next up is the Graceville tigers, a group of guys looking to make the playoffs for the fourth year in a row.
The last three seasons it's been the same story: make the playoffs… and lose to Baker in the first round.
That will be the hump to get over this season.
New Head Coach Justin Miles is taking over a really young football team with only three seniors returning, meaning they'll be made up of a lot of sophomores.
That includes the quarterback. 6’3’’ Sage Ennis is moving over from wide receiver to throw passes instead of catching them.
Another player coach miles singled out as having a great off-season is Joseph Claiborne, who plays linebacker and running back.
The best unit on this team will be the defensive line, where all four starters return from a year ago.
The Tigers are hoping to shed their one and done moniker this season.
"Our goals are to make it to the playoffs and go further than we did the past two or three years,
Coach Miles says, “Baker has been putting us out, so that's what we've been talking about. We want to beat Baker. We're tired of losing to them, so hopefully we can get over that hurdle."
Even ifGgraceville doesn't pull Baker in the playoffs, they get a chance for revenge in the final week of the regular season at home on November 3rd.
Tomorrow on 21 Teams in 21 Days, we'll preview the Holmes County Blue Devils.
