WCSO: Suspect Beat and Raped his Girlfriend

Freeport, Fla. - A woman was beaten and raped by her boyfriend over the weekend, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office 

 

Deputies arrested 26-year-old Marrion Quiten Holmes Monday, at a residence on State Highway 20 in Freeport. The victim told investigators the two got into a verbal argument that quickly turned physical lasting throughout Sunday night into the early morning hours Monday. The following day she was able to go nearby to a church.

 

Deputies said the woman was beaten inside the home and as she tried to leave Holmes beat her outside the home and dragged her back inside and raped her. 

 

"Multiple injuries on the victim’s head, neck, face,
legs and arms were consistent with her statements," deputies wrote in a news release. "A search warrant was also carried out at Holmes’ residence resulting in the discovery of additional evidence."

 

Holmes denied any altercation, but admitted the two had consensual sexual intercourse. physical

 

Holmes was arrested and charged with sexual battery, aggravated battery, and false imprisonment. Holmes was taken to the Walton County Jail where he is being held on $50,000 bond.
