Two people were seriously injured in a four-car wreck in Walton County Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Logan Rhodes, 20, of Defuniak Springs was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado south on Highway 331, Andrew Partridge, 29, of Paxton, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and was stopped in traffic facing south on Highway 331, troopers wrote. Meanwhile Lisa Pitts, 49, of Defuniak Springs, was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey and Kimberly Sanders, 54, of Santa Rosa Beach was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox and both were headed north on Highway 331, troopers wrote.
Rhodes failed to stop behind Partridge and knocked his truck into the path of Pitts' vehicle, troopers wrote. That sent Pitts' vehicle into a tree. Sanders vehicle then collided with Partridge's vehicle.
Rhodes was not injured. Sanders suffered minor injuries. Pitts is in critical condition at a local hospital and Partridge is in serious condition at a local hospital.
Rhodes was charged with careless driving, troopers wrote. The crash remains under investigation.
