Two Charged with Child Abuse

PANAMA CITY, Fla - Two Panama City residents are in custody after leaving marijuana and cocaine within reach of two children.

According to an arrest affidavit, 37-year-old Orinthian Frazier and 31-year-old Tracie Wood were arrested after police searched their hotel room and found drugs within reach of children. Officers say the suspects were staying in a room at the Ramada Inn on Highway 98 that smelled like burnt marijuana. When they conducted a search, officers found a partially consumed marijuana joint along with fresh marijuana wrapped in aluminum foil, in the bathroom. They also found a clear plastic bag that contained cocaine on the floor by a bed an 8-year-old was sitting on. The child had access to the bag as it was laying near his bag of clothes and toys. There was also a 2-month-old baby present in the room.

Both suspects are being charged with child abuse and contributing to dependency  of a child.
