PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla - Two people are behind bars in connection with an alleged attempted robbery and shooting.
According to the Bay County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home on Surf Drive around Midnight Tuesday morning after receiving reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, the victim stated that he believed Amanda Kennedy, 27, and her husband Brandon Kennedy, 27, came to his home with the intention of robbing him. The victim said he didn't open the door but instead called a friend to handle the situation.
The friend stated that, when he arrived, Brandon Kennedy pointed a handgun at him. The friend was able to convince the Kennedy's to leave but, before they did, Brandon attempted to convince the friend to help them rob the victim. The friend refused and said Brandon aimed the gun at him again. The friend says he started running and Brandon fired a shot at him. No one was injured.
Amanda and Brandon Kennedy were arrested and face multiple charges including Attempted Home Invasion Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Solicitation of Home Invasion Robbery.
