BAY COUNTY, Fla. - A trial date has been set for the woman charged with first degree murder after the December 2015 killing of her 3 year old son.
Investigators say Egypt Robinson stabbed her son, Aries Juan Acevado, multiple times then put him in a suitcase and threw him into the swamp behind her Callaway home.
The state is seeking the death penalty in this case. The trial will begin on July 30th and is expected to take a total of two to three weeks including jury selection and sentencing.
Robinson will be in court a few times before then in preparation for the trial. Her next appearance in front of a judge is February 5th.
