PANAMA CITY, Fla. - The Krewe of St. Andrews is known for hosting one of the area's biggest Mardi Grad parades every February. But they also work during the year to provide scholarships. Members hosted their annual fish fry to raise funds today.
The weather was perfect in Historic Saint Andrews as the Krewe served up fish plates for ten dollars and drinks for a dollar.
The fund will be spent on the annual parade but some help local college students.
"I can tell you we have a 15 thousand endowed scholarship at Gulf Coast Community College and have provided almost 90 thousand dollars in scholarships through the fundraisers we do and that's just scholarships for non-traditional college students at Florida State and Gulf Coast University," said the 2018 Mardi Gras King Chris Coram.
