MARIANNA, Fla. - At Tuesday nights Jackson County Commission meeting, the Sheriff's office took time to recognize community members who help make their summer enrichment program possible.
They presented plaques to local businesses who donated to the program.
School resource officers take kids on a different adventure every day during the summer.
They go to places like, The Florida Caverns, and blue springs recreational park.
"We wanted to recognize those individuals and those partners that we had during this endeavor. And tonight we had the opportunity to do that at this commission meeting and thank them," said Sheriff, Lou Roberts.
