WEST BAY, Fla. - One of the Panhandle's largest transportation companies celebrated an important expansion Wednesday.
"It is a prime, prime location so that everyone that lands at the ECP Airport can immediately see the counter here to get transportation to where every they're going," said John Finch, Sunshine Shuttles Owner.
Sunshine Shuttle and Limousine service has expanded at Northwest Florida Beaches International revealing their brand new kiosk.
Members of the Airport Board of Directors as well as the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce helped with the ribbon cutting.
For owner John Finch, this day is a long time coming.
"We've been working on this before the airport ever opened," said Finch.
Finch said Sunshine is no ordinary taxi service. Employees pride themselves on sophistication.
"The staff at the airport has had a very similar vision to Sunshine and bringing in this level of service, a higher level of service to the guests that are flying here," said Finch.
While the company is excited they're expanding, they say it's about more than just business.
"We're just happy to be here and happy to serve the community and that's really what we're doing, serving the community for the locals that fly in and out of the airport to the visitors that fly in and out of the airport and we're glad to be here," said Finch.
Finch said he's also in negotiations to expand the Sunshine Shuttle to other Panhandle airports.
