PANAMA CITY, Fla. - The sixth annual 'stuff the bus' campaign has begun in Bay County.
The fundraiser collects new, unopened gifts to donate to local Toys for Tots organizations.
This year, the goal is to collect 10,000 toys, 1,000 pairs of shoes, and 4,000 lbs of food.
The bus is located at the Twisted Suspension Auto Accessories shop in Panama City. Volunteers are collecting items until Dec.13, 24 hours a day until then.
"Throughout the year we fill it with a variety of things. We help stock food pantries in other cities, we collect diapers for moms who are in need, school supplies for back to school. At Christmas time, I come home to Bay County. We love on this community because this community is such a great and loving community in itself," Skip Bondur, the Stuff the Bus coordinator, said.
All of the collected items will benefit local children in need around Bay County.
