Search Resumes for Alabama Teen After Boat Crash

PORT ST. JOE, Fla. - Multiple law enforcement agencies were searching the Gulf of Mexico Wednesday morning for a teenager who went missing after his personal watercraft collided with a 24-foot boat.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon near the Highland View boat ramp in Port St. Joe.

Officials say the missing teen is Henry Alexander Wise IV, 19, of Fairhope, Ala. Another teenager, Gavin Primm, of Daphne, AL., was on the personal watercraft with Wise. That teenager was injured in the incident and rushed to a local hospital. He is now in stable condition, officials said.

U.S. Coast Guard officials say Wise was wearing a life jacket but it was cut off by the boat's propeller. The driver of the boat was injured and taken to the hospital as well.

The Coast Guard, Florida's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Gulf County Sheriff's Office and the Bay County Sheriff's Office are all searching the area.
