Pensacola, fla. - Today the attorney's office held a news conference in Pensacola regarding the murder of 12 year old Naomi Jones.
She was found dead in an Escambia County creek on June 5th, which was after her mom filed a missing persons report.
Escambia County Sheriff's office investigators arrested 38-year old Robert Howard in connection with the girl's murder.
Howard is a convicted sex offender, who failed to register as a sex offender in the state of Florida. He will be charged for 1st degree murder, and charged with the failure to register as a sex offender in Florida. The State Attorney's office is seeking the death penalty.
