Prosecutors Hope to Remove Judge Overstreet in Greg Wilson Case

BAY COUNTY, Fla. - Prosecutors hope to remove the judge in the criminal case against a former Bay County prosecutor.

Greg Wilson served as state attorney Glenn Hess' chief assistant and then ran against him last year in the election. He is accused of inappropriate behavior with two clients in the Bay County jail. Tallahassee prosecutor Jack Campbell, argues that judge Michael Overstreet has a potential conflict because he is a former law partner with one of Wilson's defense attorneys and Overstreet's assistant, was a financial supporter of Wilson's campaign.
Wilson's defense team has not yet responded and Overstreet has not yet ruled on the motion.
