Police searching for pair cashing stolen checks

Panama City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public regarding the cashing of stolen checks at various financial institutions in the Bay County area.

Investigators add that suspects were involved in smash and grab car burglaries and cashing stolen checks between Walton County and Bay County. 

"We believe the suspects have operated inside the triangle from Pensacola to Tallahassee to Dothan and may even reside in this area," officials wrote.

They were operating a white Ford F-150 and a brown BMW SUV during the incident.

The suspects are using stolen identification to cash stolen checks at ATM drive-thrus. Anyone having information in this case is urged to call the Panama City Police Department, 850-872-3100, or they can report their tips anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 850-785-TIPS.
