Police say a 46-year-old man killed his family and then committed suicide in Fort Walton Beach, according to News 13's media partner WEAR. His 17-year-old son discovered the bodies of his family Tuesday morning.
Wednesday, the Fort Walton Beach Police Department (FWBPD) released a statement saying the family's patriarch, William Butler, committed this crime.
Police say their officers responded to a family domestic disturbance call on Pryor Street Tuesday at 5:45 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the bodies of 14-year-old Katelyn Butler, 20-year-old Jeremy Butler, 43-year-old Catrina Butler and William Butler, 46.
Both Jeremy and his sister, Katelyn sustained gunshot wounds. Their mother, Catrina, had multiple stab wounds.
