PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) - Vendors looking to gain access to local government contracts have a new way coming very soon. Planning for a Reverse Trade Show was underway Friday afternoon at the Bay County Government Center.
The show is scheduled for May 5th at Gulf Coast State College and is a great way for a vendor to visit multiple organizations as well as see what they are looking for all under one roof. No traveling from site to site or having to set up their own table to get noticed. City, county, school districts and special government organizations will be there.
Chad Morris, is President of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing. He says this is a win-win event for both the organizations and the vendors. According to Morris, "this trade show is our primary fundraiser for the year for the educational opportunities and scholarships that we do. It's also a very good opportunity for the vendors and the member organizations purchasing agents all to meet with those vendors and get to know them and get to know what we're looking for and what they have to offer."
The Reverse Trade Show is May 5th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Gulf Coast State College. For more information on how to become a vendor at the show, visit www.cgccnigp.org to register.
